Everyone wants to win,

Everyone wants to win,
but so few are prepared
to do what it takes
.
The greatest difference between a winner and a loser is the fact that the winner is prepared to try, and looks for reasons why it should be done whereas the loser looks for excuses not to do it.
A winner says "It may be difficult but it is possible" A loser says "It may be possible but it is too difficult."
Winners use their intelligence to identify their usefulness, while losers use their intelligence to justify their uselessness.
What is there in your life that you really want to do, really want to change? What is stopping you from doing it? Beware, most limitations are imaginary and from the neck up. If there really is something stopping you then you should concentrate on overcoming that obstacle first, however mostly we merely look for excuses not to take action.
I received a phone call from someone who needed help with a drinking problem. "Who is in control?" I asked "What is stopping you from quitting?" "But you don't understand. I want to quit but I just have so many problems. My daughter is in a bad relationship. My mother is trying to run my life. My spouse has left me. I really want to quit but I must sort out these other problems first."
What excuses are you using to justify not doing what you say you want to do? What positive reasons can you find for doing it? What difference will it make if you change? What will the benefit to you, and to those around you, be if you make the change? What will happen if things continue as they are?
To change, to rise above your circumstances, you must do something different or something differently. You cannot solve a problem with the same thinking that caused it. You cannot get a different result by taking the same action.
Look for reasons to take action. Believe that while it may be difficult it is possible and that the benefits will be worth the effort. Realise that there is an inexhaustible source of power within you but it can only be accessed through purposeful action.
Realise that you can have whatever it is that you want in life if only you are prepared to do what it takes to get it.
Be the winner you were born to be. Be one of the few who are prepared to do what it takes to win in the game of life. Look around you and you will realise that "Everyone wants to win, but so few are prepared to do what it takes"
With best wishes
